The Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) was founded in 1995 as a non-profit trade association for members of the the viatical and life settlement industry, associated businesses and consumers. It is the oldest and largest association in the business. The LISA complies fully with all applicable laws, anti-trust laws, federal, state and local laws and all trade regulations and legal requirements.

Since its inception, the LISA has been a leader in promoting responsible legislation and regulation of the industry. It has contributed conceptual and detailed language to actual laws governing the industry in most states throughout the United States.

These efforts have resulted in improved public information, public awareness and created a competitive market place for the purpose of serving the consumer a valuable financial service.

The Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area Chapter (FPA NCA) is the preeminent organization for financial planning professionals in the Washington, DC area including the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia.

The FPA NCA provides a forum for education and career development for its members while adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards.

Today CASE's membership includes more than 3,200 colleges, universities, and independent elementary and secondary schools in 55 countries around the world.

Mid Atlantic LifeSpan: A Senior Service Alliance LifeSpan is the newest, largest and most powerful senior care provider association in the Mid-Atlantic, representing more than 300 senior care provider organizations in Maryland and the District of Columbia. LifeSpan's members include non-profit and proprietary assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, nursing facilities, subsidized senior housing and community and hospital-based programs.

Chesapeake joined LifeSpan as an Associate Member in 2006. Through articles and seminars we hope to educate senior care professionals and administrators on how the secondary market for life insurance policies may provide potential or current residents with a new source of funds for long-term care expenses.
