Patrick T. Duke, Managing

Patrick is a career insurance professional whose experience and expertise spans
many disciplines. After beginning his career in the life insurance industry,
he has most recently served as a trusted advisor and broker assisting business
owners and executives implement effective risk management and welfare benefit
strategies. His responsibilities at Chesapeake include the development and
implementation of the firm’s business strategy and positioning, marketing
to the advisor community, developing provider relationships, partner recruitment,
and negotiating settlement offers.

Joe’s background is in the life insurance and financial advisor market.
His experience working as a part of a client’s advisory team provides
a platform for Chesapeake to effectively communicate to the advisory community
the expanding planning solutions that life settlements offer high net-worth
individuals, businesses owners, and charities/institutions. His responsibilities
include sales and marketing to the financial services and non-profit communities
along with general business, operational and financial management matters for
the firm.
Dr. Stephen Nightingale, MD,

Dr. Nightingale is responsible for case review, life expectancy analysis, and
negotiation with actuarial vendors. Dr. Nightingale is a graduate of Harvard
College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He trained in
internal medicine and nephrology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and is Board
Certified in both disciplines. He taught at Case Western Reserve University,
Hopkins, The University of Chicago, and the Centre Universitaire des Sciences
de la Sante in Yaounde, United Republic of Cameroon before becoming Chairman
of the Division of General Medicine/Primary Care at Cook County Hospital in 1982
and the Medical Director of the AIDS Clinic at Parkland Memorial Hospital in
1988. Dr. Nightingale joined the Food and Drug Administration in 1996 and the
Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services in 1997, where he was Senior
Medical Advisor for Blood Safety to the the Assistant Secretary for Health and
Surgeon General. Dr. Nightingale also served as an Attending Physician at DC
General Hospital until it closed in 2001. In 2002, Dr. Nightingale left the government
to form Burntside Partners, Inc., a biotechnology firm. In 2005, while continuing
as CEO of Burntside, Dr. Nightingale became Medical Director of Chesapeake Financial
Settlements. He became a member of the American Academy of Insurance Medicine
in 2006.
Nicole Chapin Duke, General

joining the Chesapeake team, Nicole Chapin Duke was a litigator for
Williams & Connolly,
LLP, for six and a half years. While at Williams & Connolly,
LLP, she provided a full-range of litigation services for fee-paying
and pro bono clients in civil, criminal, and administrative cases
at both the trial and appellate level. Prior to that, she served
as a law clerk to the Honorable Harold H. Greene, Judge, U.S.
District Court for the District of Columbia, providing legal
research and
writing assistance to this federal trial court judge in both
civil and criminal cases. Ms. Duke is a 1994 magna cum laude
graduate
of the Georgetown University Law Center, where she received the
Order of the Coif, numerous academic awards, and served as the
Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. Ms.
Duke did her undergraduate work at Yale University, where received
a B.A. magna cum laude, with Distinction in History.
